Project Brainstorming - Design Plan Outline

In class last week we participated in a project brainstorming exercise.  The purpose was to develop an outline and way of thinking about the design plan.  The questions students addressed on the blog were:

  1. Who is the Subject Matter Expert, or SME, on my project? (Elaborate.)
  2. Who is the Target Audience? (Elaborate.)
  3. What model of instructional design seems most appropriate for my project and why? (B&G p. 2-20)
  4. What perspectives on learning will likely be addressed - cognitive, behavioral, constructivist - and why? Give specific examples. (B&G p. 22-37)
  5. What strategy will I use to conduct a needs analysis? What products will be created to show I have conducted a full needs analysis? (B&G p. 40-55)
  6. What approach will I use to conduct a task analysis?  What products will be created to show that I have conducted a full task analysis?  (B&G p. 57-69)
If you found complications here it may indicate the need to look for another project, or to reposition your idea.  I look forward to reviewing your draft proposals.  See the syllabus for the due date and expectations for the draft and the final design proposal.
